Art Direction - New Balance
Every American has run the mile. At least once in our lives, our P.E. teachers have trotted our classes out to the local track to watch us suffer. It’s a shared pain, and a staple of a United States childhood.
I was one of the kids who suffered through the mile and wanted to do it again. And again. And again. Throughout high school and college, I ran the mile. And to train for my fastest miles, I wore the New Balance RC Elite. It was an excellent shoe, but unlike anything I’d ever run in before; the control I had over the shoe almost felt retro.
To bring together New Balance’s new line of innovative running shoes with the legacy brand’s old-school feel, I used vibrant color blocking when designing digital-specific ads for some of New Balance’s newest models.
