Part I: Art Direction - Affirmative Action
Sometimes the best clients are your old friends from college. And by “best” I mean they pay you in good times instead of cold hard cash. So when my friend, musician Oblé Reed, came to me looking to create physical and digital assets for his Affirmative Action project rollout, I pinched my pennies and got ready for some fun. These poster and social posts couple vibrannt photography and hand-lettered lyrics to promote the new album and its lead tracks “BLACKKIDS.” and “DANCEPARTY.”

Part II: Art Direction - LINDENAVE!
I must not have screwed things up too badly; following the Affirmative Action rollout, I was brought on to create a poster set for Oblé’s 2023 album, LINDENAVE!
Designed to be sold online and at concerts, these posters explore and expand upon the visual identity created for Affirmative Action, using powerful photography and complementary typography to make each poster something a fan would be proud to have on their wall.
