The Amazing United States Olympians You’ve Never Heard Of - A Six Month 2021 Calendar

For three glorious weeks every four years, hundreds of countries come together, locking arms and honoring the wonderful world of sport at the Summer Olympics. Each of the thousands of Olympians in these Games has their own special story, whether it be overcoming failure, realizing their potential, or doing something miraculous on the way.

Everyone knows the greatest athletes—Michael Phelps, Simone Biles, Allyson Felix—but not everyone knows the athletes with the greatest stories. I wanted to change that. To showcase the most amazing stories in Summer Olympics history, I designed and illustrated a calendar of lesser-known U.S. Olympians who deserve to be remembered alongside the greats.
